RE at Bexleyheath
Religious Education is part of the Humanities faculty, collectively, the biggest department in the school. It is a very successful area, which also includes History, Geography, and Sociology.
As a department we seek to promote the spiritual, moral and philosophical dimensions of human existence, and we work on the basis that the potential for spiritual and moral development is open to everyone. All pupils should have access to an education which goes beyond the purely functional, allowing pupils to search for meaning and purpose in life and enabling them to reach towards the transcendent.
