How many philosophers does it take to change a light bulb?
"Hmmm... well there's an interesting question isn't it?"
"Define 'light bulb'..."
"How can you be sure it needs changing?"
Three. One to change it and two to stand around arguing over whether or not the light bulb exists.

 

A philosophy professor was sitting in a college cafe when a student of his working as a waitress approached him: "Can I get you something to drink, Dr. Baker?"
The professor replied, "Yes, I'd like a cup of coffee with sugar, but no cream".
Nodding agreement, the waitress walked off to fill the order. A few minutes later, however, she returned and said, "I'm sorry, professor, we are all out of cream -- how about coffee with no milk?"

 

Rene Descartes is sitting in a bar, having a drink. The bartender asks him if he would like another. "I think not," he says and vanishes in a puff of logic.
