Brilliant Poetry from 8GM

These two poems were written in RE by members of 8GM:

 Me and the World

 Sometimes I like people,

 Sometimes I don’t.

 Arguing over silly things…petty things,

Then making up a day later.

 What really matters?

 Dying babies…

 Starving kids…

 War all over the place…

 People needing clean water…

 Stop and think,

Should we argue over silly things…petty

 things,

And make up a day later?

Or focus on what really matters,

 And needs our attention?

Me and the World

Sometimes I like people,

Sometimes I don’t.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the world.

I feel sorry for all the bad people.

I feel sorry for the people who died.

We get all the money.

They get nothing.

God made the world in seven days.

We are killing it.

The weather is not good

But we’ve got family.

Some people have no families.

We are lucky – we’ve got money.

We’ve got hope.

Some people have no money.

Some people have no hope for the future.

Think of these people.

Me and The World

Sometimes I like me

Sometimes I don’t,

If I could change the world I would stop bullies.

Sometimes I wish I could fly, fly away

From all my troubles.

Sometimes I feel sorry for others and

Wished they had more than a little.

When I see people sad I want to help them

Because I know there’s something missing from their heart.

I wish people would all be the same,

Well at least half.

I’m fed up with walking down the street and

People calling their friends or family names.

Why can’t people just say nice things for once,

Then again some people don’t have the heart to say nice things.

I wish my family would stop smoking

because soon I wont have a family.

When my Nan died there wasn't a me

Anymore but I knew she didn’t want

Me to be sad because she knows I love her.

What I want to know is can I make a difference!!!
